Amendments Proposed by Veritas to

Zimbabwe Independent Complaints Commission Bill

In advance of the this week’s public hearings on the Zimbabwe Independent Complaints Commission Bill [link] – as already notified in our Committee Series bulletin 21/2021 – Veritas shares with the public the attached documents setting out its proposals for amendments that should be made to the Bill by Parliament. 

The two documents are as follows:

• a draft Notice of Amendments proposed for consideration during the Committee Stage when the Bill is going through the National Assembly;
• a memorandum explaining the proposed amendments.

These documents were previously submitted to Parliament for the attention of members of the Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs.

Also attached, for ease of reference, is the Zimbabwe Independent Complaints Commission Bill itself.
