2020-01-07 Reserve Bank : Press Statement on the Deliberations of the Monetary Policy Committee [MPC]

The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (the Bank) met on 7 January 2021 and deliberated on measures to refine and enhance the sustainability of the Foreign Exchange Auction System. The MPC made the following resolutions in respect of surrender and liquidation of foreign exchange receipts: -

PRESS STATEMENT OF THE MONETARY POLICY COMMITTEE (MPC)
1. The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe held its third meeting on 29 November 2019. The Committee met and deliberated on a number of issues including the potential monetary implications of the 2020 National Budget and the liquidity situation in the economy.

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Health has, in terms of section 68 of the Public Health Act [Chapter 15:17], made the following Order:—

1. This order may be cited as the Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (National Lockdown) (No. 2) (Amendment) Order, 2021 (No. 10).

SI 2021-008 Customs and Excise (Tariff) (Amendment) Notice, 2021 (No. 25)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Finance and Economic Development has, in terms of section 225 of the Customs and Excise Act [Chapter 23:02], made the following notice:—
1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Tariff) (Amendment) Notice, 2021 (No. 25).
(2) This notice shall come into effect on 1st January, 2021.

SI 2021-007 Customs and Excise (Ports of Entry and Routes) (Amendment) Order, 2021 (No. 21)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Finance and Economic Development has, in terms of sections 14 and 236 of the Customs and Excise Act [Chapter 23:02], made the following order:—
1. (1) This order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Ports of Entry and Routes) (Amendment) Order, 2021 (No. 21).
(2) This order shall come into effect on 1st January, 2021.

SI 2021-006 Customs and Excise (Suspension) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 (No. 246)
