SI 2018-237A - Open General Import Licence (Amendment) Notice 2018 (No 6)

Addition of 29 Products to OGIL and Reduction of Import Licence Fee

 

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Industry and Commerce has, in terms of section 4(1)(a) of the Control of Goods (Import and Export) (Commerce) Regulations, 1974, published in Rhodesia Government Notice 766 of 1974, made the following notice:—

 

1. This notice may be cited as the Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence) (Amendment) Notice, 2018 (No. 6).

 

2. The Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence) Notice published under Statutory Instrument 122 of 2017 [link], is amended by the insertion of the following products to the Open General Import Licence (OGIL)—

 

(i) Animal oils and fats (lard, tallow and dripping);

(ii) Baked beans;

(iii) Body creams;

(iv) Bottled water;

(v) Cement;

(vi) Cereals;

(vii) Cheese;

(viii) Coffee creamers;

(ix) Cooking oil;

(x) Crude and refined vegetables oils, soya bean oil and vegetable fats;

(xi) Fertilizers;

(xii) Finished steel roofing sheets;

(xiii) Ice cream;

(xiv) Jams;

(xv) Juice blends;

(xvi) Margarine;

(xvii) Mayonnaise and salad creams;

(xviii) Potato crisps;

(xix) Packaging materials and plastic polymers;
(xx) Peanut butter,

(xxi) Pizza base;

(xxii) Yoghurts

(xxiii) Palm fat;

(xxiv) Shoe polish;

(xxv) Soap;

(xxvi) Sugar; (xxvii) Sweets;

(xxviii) Synthetic hair products; and

(xxix) Wheelbarrows and wheelbarrow parts.

 

3. Explanatory note (c)(i) to the Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence) Notice, published under Statutory Instrument 122 of 2017, is amended by the reduction of the import licence fee for the remaining products under the Open General Import Licence (OGIL) to $30,00, or its equivalent.
