Note by Veritas: On 23rd October 2019 in the National Assembly, following a submission by the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, the Speaker ruled that MDC-A MPs were ineligible to ask questions because they had refused to recognise the legitimacy of the election as President of President Mnangagwa, who had appointed the Ministers. The following day, after representations from Hon Mliswa, he said he would reconsider his ruling but would need to think very deeply about the matter.
Before the beginning of the next Question Time on 13th November, in the fresh ruling appearing below, the Speaker announced the indefinite suspension of the 23rd October ruling.
