1.0 Attorney General’s Office Amendment Bill

Cabinet approved the Attorney-General’s Office Amendment Bill as presented by the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs. The proposed amendment seeks to align the current Act to the Constitution by providing for the following:

•  the appointment of deputies of the Attorney-General;

• the establishment of the Attorney-General as the Chairman of the Attorney-General’s Office Board; and

• the incorporation of Law Officers and Legal Advisors in different Ministries under the administration of the Attorney-General.
