To amend the Census and Statistics Act [Chapter 10:29]; and to provide for matters incidental to or connected therewith.
ENACTED by the Parliament and the President of Zimbabwe.
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Census and Statistics Amendment Act, 2020.
2 Amendment of section 12 of Cap. 10:29
Section 12 (“Census”)(1) of the Census and Statistics Act [Chapter 10:29] is amended by the insertion of the following subsection after subsection (3)—
“(4) Notwithstanding that the ten-year period from the census of 2012 has not yet expired, the next census shall be taken so as to be completed by the 1st July, 2021, and thereafter a census shall be taken every ten years from that date.”.
