IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Industry and Commerce,
in terms of section 4(1)(a) of the Control of Goods (Import and Export)
(Commerce) Regulations, 1974, published in Rhodesia Government
Notice 766 of 1974, hereby makes the following notice:—
1. This notice shall be cited as the Control of Goods (Open
General Import Licence) Standards Assessment – Consignment Based
Conformity Assessment (CBCA) (Amendment) Notice, 2023 (No. 2).
2. The Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence)
(Standards Assessment) Notice, 2015, published in Statutory Instrument
132 of 2015, is amended by the addition of the following section after
section 3—
“3A. Notwithstanding the above provision, the following shall be
subject to Consignment Based Conformity Assessment irrespective
of Free-on-Board value:
(a) goods falling under headings 8701, 8702, 8703, 8704,
8705, 8711, 8714 and 8716;
(b) goods falling under headings 8471 and 8517 shall be
individually assessed.”.
