SI 2023-187 Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence) Standards nom

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Industry and Commerce,
in terms of section 4(1)(a) of the Control of Goods (Import and Export)
(Commerce) Regulations, 1974, published in Rhodesia Government
Notice 766 of 1974, hereby makes the following notice:—
1. This notice shall be cited as the Control of Goods (Open
General Import Licence) Standards Assessment – Consignment Based
Conformity Assessment (CBCA) (Amendment) Notice, 2023 (No. 3).
2. The Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence)
Standards Assessment – Consignment Based Conformity Assessment
(CBCA) (Amendment) Notice, 2020 (No. 1), published in Statutory
Instrument 124 of 2020, is amended—
(a) in section 4(3) by the deletion of “15%” and substitution
with “12%”;
(b) in section 5A (1) by the deletion of “15%” and substitution
with “12%”;
(c) in section 6 by the repeal of section (5A) 6 and substitution
of:
“Inspection fees by destination inspection providers
shall be in accordance with Schedule 2.”;
(d) by the repeal of the First Schedule of Statutory Instrument
124 of 2020 and substitution with the following “First
Schedule”:
For the avoidance of doubt, the description of goods under
each tariff heading is not exhaustive of all the goods indicated
under the below Schedule. The tariff headings shall constitute the
conclusive basis on determination of regulated goods.
