Open Meetings and Consultations – Monday to Wednesday Next Week

There are four open Portfolio Committee meetings and one Thematic Committee meeting scheduled for the mornings of Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th June, as listed below.  “Open” means that a meeting will be open to attendance by members of the public, but as observers only.  Members of the public wishing to attend an open meeting are reminded that IDs will be required to gain entry to the New Parliament Building.

The Senate Thematic Committee on HIV and AIDS will be holding public consultations on the roll-out of anti-retrovirals, as shown below.

Joint Portfolio Committees on Defence, Home Affairs, Security Services and War Veterans Affairs

To receive a presentation from Amnesty International on the statelessness of migrants in Zimbabwe.

Portfolio Committee:  Primary and Secondary Education

Oral evidence from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education on their 2023 fourth quarter and 2024 first quarter budget performance.

Tuesday 11th June at 10 am

Joint Portfolio Committees on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and Transport and Infrastructural Development

Oral evidence from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development and the National Railways of Zimbabwe on agreements entered into by Zimbabwe with other countries on properties owned by NRZ abroad.

Portfolio Committee: Local Government

Oral evidence from Upper Manyame Sub-Catchment Council and the Environmental Management Agency on the petition from the Combined Harare Residents Association on the lack of access to clean water in Glenview area in Harare.
