The Tripartite Negotiating Forum Bill went through its Committee Stage in the National Assembly on Friday 17th May. Several clauses were amended, notably provisions giving the Government twice the representation (14 members) allocated to each of Organised Labour (7 members) and Organised Business (7 members). The amendments reduce Government members to 7.
On 13th February Zimbabwe ratified this treaty, which was signed on its behalf in 1999. On 14th February a national seminar on CTBT took place in Harare.
